As a commercial customer, why will I be better off signing with Hudson vs. the utility?
Budget; while there are some things you can predict, there are others you can’t. It’s no secret that energy prices are volatile. They rise and fall based on a variety of factors (supply and demand, weather, etc) that you cannot control. A fixed energy contract allows for simpler budgeting for your business.

As a Hudson Energy customer you will benefit from competitive pricing, hedging options, flexible terms, blending options and excellent customer service.

Is there a fee for switching or any other hidden fees or monthly services charges?
No; if you start flowing on Nov 1, 2011 there is no fee for switching. Otherwise, SaskEnergy may charge a “short Notice” fee. Hudson will only charge for the amount of gas you consume (including compressor fuel; the gas it takes to move your natural gas from Point A to Point B). You will continue to be billed by SaskEnergy for all additional charges.

Who will bill me for my energy supply?
You will continue to receive a SaskEnergy bill. Hudson Energy’s name and phone number will be displayed in the Gas Supply section.

Will I receive reliable gas service if I switch to Hudson Energy?
Yes. Your regulated transport company delivers the gas to your business and they will continue to maintain the pipelines, regardless of what provider you select.

When can I expect my first bill? Will I be notified when my account will be switched over?
SaskEnergy will notify you that you’ve been enrolled by Hudson and that SaskEnergy has been authorized to bill on behalf of the Gas Retailer for the contracted gas. This notification should occur shortly after enrollment. Your first bill on Hudson gas supply will also display a bill message.

How can we receive our monthly statements?
You have a choice to receive your bill via Canada Post or ebill; Please visit https://myaccount.saskenergy.com to sign up for ebilling.
